The Marina has been nice enough to allow us to operate from their facilities. We are only one of there several hundred customers. So please lets respect the marina facility, other boaters and their yachts. Keep volumes to a respectable level and be patient with the shuttle boat system. Please remain polite, courteous and respectful. We often use our own shuttle boats when the marina is busy. Stay connected with your captain during this time.
Please pay attention during the safety briefing prior to departing.

We are sorry but, this is a law. No Bow riding on Tranquility, Local authorities have warned us that this is not allowed due to the fact that there are no seats built into the bow area, so therefor it is not safe and not legal to be up there while underway. As soon as the boat stops and anchors, all are welcome to hang out up front on the bow area.
Please be on time for your rental time slot. Actually, early by 30 minutes is recommended. It takes time to park and get down the dock, and take the shuttle out to the yacht. Often there may be a renter scheduled to use the vessel after your reservation. Be sure to extend the curtesy of exiting on time so that the maintenance and/or cleanup of the yacht may be performed prior to the next Charterer loading onto the vessel.
In order for us to legally rent out a yacht to be used for up to 13 people plus crew, we must follow "Bare boat" or "Demise Charter" rental rules. It is imperative that each of these "7" rules be understood and followed 100% correctly by the Yachts owner, the broker/listing agent, the renter and the crew.
The law states that there must be a bareboat rental agreement available or onboard, signed by both parties. We can not depart without that signature.
The responsible renter must follow the maximum allowed limits. Persons allowed onboard are, "The renter" also called the "Charterer" and their 12 guests, which makes 13, plus crew. If the boat is run with more that 13 plus crew onboard, heavy fines in the tens of thousands of dollars can be assessed from the coast guard. If you are requiring an additional, optional crew member as for example, a chef, or a photographer, that person would not be included as one of the 13 but instead they would be part of the listed crew and they would need to be listed on the crew contract.
We can provide a list of approved and recommended captains/crew that you may choose from to operate the vessel and its accessories. The captain/crew members on our list have agreed to work for renters for a typical shared gratuities paid by the renter, usually 15 to 20%.
The Bare Boat rental laws state that if the Charterer would like to hire a captain/crew, the captain/crew must be chosen by and hired by the renter, they do and can not receive any pay or compensation from the broker or owner. So, to be clear, the crew is paid for by the renter, and not the owner or broker. If a captain is hired by the renter, that captain would be the responsible party for the safe navigation of the vessel.
Note: Vessel owner can not be onboard while rented.
The law states that a bareboat operation is only legal if all of these items is followed 100%. The charterer rents and pays for the vessel and its accessories. And also is responsible for costs for the following items
All food, fuel, & stores, all port & pilotage fees, any insurance costs covering liability that is not included in the owners policy. Renters can and should acquire their own insurance for the rentals time period.
When the owner agrees to rent the vessel and its accessories to the charterer, it must be well understood that the charterer has full control over the vessel as if acting as owner for the time rented. The owner gives up full possession and control of the boat. The Charterer becomes, legally, the temporary owner/operator.
The charterer may discharge for cause, the master or any crew without approval from the vessel owner.
The law states that the renter is the responsible party and must be given the option to purchase additional insurance coverage for their rental if they desire to do so. A rental coverage policy is available as an option to the renter, or the renter may choose to find their own coverage or may choose the option of no additional coverage but the liability remains on the renter, all liability, not just the vessel but all liability during the rental is on the renter. The yacht owner may also choose to have insurance protection by having a liability policy or a fire/theft policy.
Please be sure to keep the boat in good order. Take note of its condition when you get on board and when you are finished, it is expected that you will leave it in the same condition. The law states that the renter must check the vessel and its survey for any damages before going underway and at the end of the voyage. This is similar to a rental car before and after use.
